You Should Know

To qualify, a UK institution must have a student sponsor license or valid accreditation from:
  • Accreditation Service for International Colleges
  • British Accreditation Council
  • Education and Training Inspectorate
  • Estyn (Wales)
  • Education Scotland
  • Independent Schools Inspectorate
  • Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education)
  • Office for Students
  • Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education
Required Documents:
  • Valid passport (with blank page)
  • Bank statements (last 6 months)
  • Travel & lodging details
  • Course fee payment proof
  • TB test results (if required)
  • Parental contact details (if under 18)
  • Certified translations (if not in English/Welsh)

Traveling Alone

If you’re under 18, you need formal permission from your guardian or parents if one has exclusive custody. This must include:
  • Visa application approval
  • Accommodation and medical care arrangements
  • Travel details to the UK
Parents or guardians must also provide proof of where you’ll stay, including:
  • Name & birthdate of the person you’ll stay with
  • Accommodation address
  • Relationship to this person
  • Written consent from the responsible adult

Traveling with an Adult

If you’re traveling with an adult (18+), their name must be listed in your visa application. Your visa will only be valid if you travel with at least one of them. You can list up to 2 adults, and they must apply separately.
